Kodak did film shooters a solid by bringing Gold 200 back to medium format. This film will likely be a constant in my fridge for those situations when I want something versatile and less expensive. Sure, it may not take the place of Ektar or slide film for dedicated landscape shoots. However, I wouldn’t hesitate to use it in that manner at all. In medium format, it can certainly handle it.
For the price, Kodak Gold 200 can accomplish a lot of different types of photography. With its great color, excellent exposure latitude, and unique look, I have a feeling Kodak is going to really have to pump up their production for this film coming back. Even if Gold may not be your primary film, it’s great to have more choices! Thanks, Kodak.
